Microraptors are bird-like creatures found in Elegema Forest and Lyzta's Jungle. They were part of the opening day release.
Following server downtime in late October 2015, a special variety of microraptor named apology raptor was released. This variant was available through the promo code "IndominusRex" starting October 29th 2015 and ending February 7th 2016, and a maximum of 15 could be obtained through said promotion. A week before the promotion ended, they were made available in the Menagerie for 1000 
per egg.

This egg is a bit cold.
Hatchling[]
It's a rather small hatchling, but very active. It keeps leaping about, but it seems to be getting better at not knocking everything over.
Mature Hatchling[]
As it's grown, it's become more arboreal and very adept at gliding. You are also sure that it has four wings, with the second pair attached to the hind legs. Though it rarely walks now, it uses its claws to cling to trees while it climbs them.
Adult[]
Microraptor are one of the most common sights in forests and jungles. These four-winged little beasts are often mistaken for birds. They are territorial, but also inquisitive, frequently investigating before attacking. Many larger creatures consider them a nuisance; although solitary, they can and will congregate in large numbers to attempt to drive something away. During the summer breeding season, microraptor males will perform a unique aerial dance for females. These pairs only last until the nest is built and the eggs laid. The female raises the hatchlings by herself. Microraptors are commonly kept as pets due to their small size and friendly nature when hand-reared, but many consider the risk of stealing an egg not worth it. If an egg-thief is caught, the female will call to others in the area to attack and the thief usually ends up very badly scratched.
